Artist: The Logans Band Title: The Bliss EP Format: CD Price: $5.00 Released: December 17th 2001 Number: dbm001
The first release from The Logans Band, very first release from Dogbus Music. Put out in very limited quantities on Dec.17th.01 this CD was primarily distributed to campus radios around this fine country. Showing as much skill with the keyboard as with the acoustic guitar, The Bliss E.P is a soft but bleak look at a world surrounded in chaos. Alot of these songs have become staples in any Logans Band set, expecially "Keep Moving" which has been turned into a set opener for most shows now and has been sped up to match the pace of a live show.
Songs like "Suburban White Dream" and "The Chaos At The End Of The World" show the experimental side of the Logans Band, something that has carried on through to future works like "Way Of The Mog" on Outloud 1. The art from this album also inspired a short film called "You can't spell team without meat" which had extremely limited release after the album came out.
Note: Due to the extremely limited release of this record and the fact that it was the first record Dogbus Music ever put out, it is SOLD OUT. Having said that, we're looking at the possibility of putting the whole thing up online or releasing a full length Logans Band CD with all the songs from the early albums. If you really want to hear this record badly, talk to Ryan Oliver at one of the Dogbus Shows and something could probably be arranged.
